小托听力分为三个板块，分别是通知说明类（一段通知音频对应1道选择题）、对话类（一段对话对应3-4道选择题）、学术演讲讨论类（一段演讲或讨论对应4道及以上选择题）。三个板块的难度是逐级递增的，分值相同所以能够把相对容易的题做到全对可以保证听力总分。今天我们就来了解通知说明类的题型该如何分析题目并通过分析题目来提高自己的正确率。
由于小托福语速还是比较快的，一边听材料一边看题是不太能够保证能够两头都顾上的。因此拿到题目首先要做的事就是看题并且圈划关键词。通知说明类的10道题主要题型为主旨题、目的题、预测题、推断题和细节题。5类题型都能够非常明显地通过题干中的关键词识别出来，以下是对每种题型的具体分析。
主旨题
主旨题大部分的出题方式为：
What is the main idea of the talk?
What does the teacher/principal ask the students to do?
What does the teacher/principal want the students to do?
目的题
目的题大部分的出题方式为：
What is the purpose of the talk?
预测题
预测题大部分的出题方式为：
What will the students do next?
What will the class probably do next?
What are the students going to do?
不难观察到预测题的题干时态是将来时，也常会搭配next去出题。
推断题
推断题大部分的出题方式为：
What can be inferred from the talk?
What is probably true about the ...?
细节题
细节题大部分的出题方式为：
Which of the following is true?
According to the speaker, ...
...
细节题的出题方式有时会包含一些材料中的内容或关键词，在识别的时候也可以通过排除该题为其他四种题型的可能性来判断题目属于细节题。细节题的选项需要详读。
除了审题干去判断题目类型之外，快速确定选项关键词也可以帮助自己更好去做选择。
我们以两道主旨题为例来感受一下选项是如何照亮思路的。

Since Christmas is around the corner, your winter vacation is coming soon. Safety always comes first when you are out of school. Don’t go anywhere dangeroous, without your parents don’t go out alone at night, and remind your parents to check the electrical system in your home. Last but not least, merry Christmas and hope you all have a wonderful vacation.
What is the main idea of the talk?
(A) Remind the students to stay safe
(B) Tell the parnts to keep their children safe
(C) Wish the students a happy holiday
(D) Inform the students Christmas is coming
这是一道很典型的主旨题题型，4个句子看起来很不像，但这正好是帮助我们更好区分他们的一个方法。
能够观察到四句话的动词各不相同，分别为A. remind（提醒），B. tell（告诉），C. wish（祝愿），D. inform（通知）。四个动作的区别可以通过语境中的内容直接区分开来。
再进一步观察可以发现动作的对象不相同，我们可以通过得知老师的说话对象对B选项进行排除。再根据前后文反复强调的安全问题确定正确答案为A选项，提醒学生注意安全。

Poetry is the music from the heart. Next week we will talk about poetry, the speacial genre with beautiful rhythm in literature. I hope everyone can stand on stage and share your favorite poem with all your classmates. First, read your poem aloud, and then talk about it for another 2 minutes. So be prepared andd don’t be nervous.

这道题的四个选项与上一道题正好相反，是4个非常相像的选项，这样的选项我们只需要找不同就可以了。四个选项的宾语分别A. music（音乐），B. poem（诗），C. drama（戏剧），D. dance（舞蹈）。
材料开篇就给除了关键词poetry（诗歌），以及中间部分也出现了share favorite poem的要求，因此答案是很显而易见的B。
